Hob lives under the hearthstone at Ghyllside Farm, and only Miss Minkin knows. When everyone else sleeps, they share a bowl of cream, tell tales, sing and dance. At Christmas time the Hob and Miss Minkin go carol-singing. But to the neighbours their carolling is just caterwauling.
