T. Traynor was born in Glasgow and studied English before going to Greece to work as an English teacher. She now lives near Oxford, where she edits and writes materials for language textbooks and websites. She has two daughters who she finds very useful when she's testing out story ideas. Nicking Time is her first book. Gill Arbuthnott is the author of several other novels for children, including Chaos Clock, Chaos Quest and Dark Spell (the sequel to Winterbringers). She lives in Edinburgh. Janis Mackay was born and grew up in Edinburgh, but moved to London to study journalism. She has an MA in Creative Writing and has held writer-in-residence posts in both Caithness and Sutherland. She currently lives in Edinburgh, where she teaches creative writing and works as a writer and storyteller.
