When Arthur Bannister wins a scholarship to Shiverton Hall, the timing couldn't be better. Although reluctant to leave his family behind, he's pleased to be escaping from his life in London. However, he soon finds out that all is not what it seems at his new school. Arthur, and his new friends Penny and George, must unravel Shiverton Hall's gruesome history in order to stop a present-day menace. And, at the same time, Arthur must come to terms with his own past...
