These teaching notes provide support for teachers of children reading Levels 9-16 of Non-Fiction TreeTops. They include reading, speaking and listening, and writing activities in line with the Renewed Primary Literacy Framework, and correlation to the QCA assessment focuses, as well as covering objectives for the English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Ireland curricula. Cross-curricular links and activities are also provided for each pupil book in each level.

Frank Endersby has worked as an international illustrator for over 10 years. He particularly enjoys creating colourful scenes for children's books and giftware. Thelma Page, an ex-teacher, has extensive experience and knowledge of using Oxford Reading Tree and has written many teaching guides for the series. After some years in the legal profession, Andrew Hammond retrained as a teacher and has taught English for ten years in schools across the south east of England. He has prepared boys and girls for the 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance and Scholarship exams as well as working as a Year 5 class teacher, Year 6 Coordinator, KS3 Coordinator and Head of English and Drama. Andrew is the Head of English and Drama at Copthorne Preparatory School and lives in Surrey with his wife and three young rascals. LIZ MILES is an editor and author of books for younger readers, with many years of experience. She lives in Wivenhoe, England.
