The Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. Theseus, a hero from Athens, volunteered to enter the Labyrinth of Crete to slay the Minotaur, a half-human, half-bull monster. With the help of Ariadne, who provided him with a thread to find his way back, Theseus defeated the Minotaur.
