A Traveller in Time

After an illness Penelope is sent to convalesce at her great Aunt's farm, Thackers, in Yorkshire. Fey Penelope travels back in time between the 20th century and the time of Elizabeth 1, and becomes involved in the doomed Babington plot to free Mary Queen of Scots. She watches helplessly as tragic events bring danger to her friends and the downfall of the queen they are seeking to rescue.
