A Little Lower Than the Angels

Gabriel has no idea what the future will hold when he runs away from his apprenticeship with the bad-tempered stonemason to play the part of an angel in a travelling play. He's so convincing that peasants shower him with coins, and Gabriel believes he's found his calling. But will Gabriel's new life with the travelling players be any more secure?
