Ola Forest of Reading Blue Spruce Award - Grades K-3

The Colorado Blue Spruce Young Adult Book Award is an annual literary award program in the United States, specifically in Colorado. It is aimed at promoting reading and literacy among young adults in grades 9-12. The award is administered by the Colorado Blue Spruce Award Committee, which is a part of the Colorado Council of the International Reading Association (CCIRA). The Award aims to not only recognize outstanding works of young adult literature but also to encourage young adults to become lifelong readers and critical thinkers. Each year, a list of nominated titles is selected by a committee of educators, librarians, and young adult literature enthusiasts. These nominated books cover a wide range of genres and themes. Students who participate in the program are encouraged to read a selection of the nominated titles throughout the school year and at the end of the reading period, have the opportunity to vote for their favourite book from the nominated list. The book that receives the most votes is awarded the Colorado Blue Spruce Young Adult Book Award.
