Lollies - Grades 3-7

The Lollies (The Laugh Out Loud Book Awards) is an annual children's book award that celebrates the funniest children's books, aiming to encourage a love of reading through humour. Launched by The Book Trust, the awards feature several categories that cater to different age groups, including: Lollies for Ages 6-8, Lollies for Ages 9-11, Lollies for Ages 12 and Up. The selection of nominated books typically involves recommendations from teachers, librarians, and booksellers. The nominations often include a mix of established and new authors, providing a platform for diverse voices in children's literature. One of the unique aspects of The Lollies is that children play an active role in the voting process. After reading the shortlisted titles, children vote for their favourite book in each category.
