The Secret Garden

The story of the Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett describes the experiences of ugly, bad tempered Mary Lennox who is sent from India to live with her uncle in Micklethwaite Manor after her parents die in a cholera epidemic. Having been used to servants and getting her own way she finds adjusting to the new home tricky, but when she is befriended by Dickon and discovers a secret garden she starts to emerge from her shell. And it all gets even better when they discover a cousin who they are also able to bring back to life.
