Great for age 5-7 years
This is a beautifully illustrated series that fits in with the UK Key Stage learning scale. It comes with a wordbank that helps children learn new words through reinforcement and repetition. It includes a wonderful short story that is perfectly placed for children aged 6-7 years, but yet increases their learning at the same time. It's movie time for Nomi and her friends Kira and Ken. The popcorn's in hand, they've got their seats, and the show's begun: Visitor from a Distant Planet. But something "alien" is going on...and it's not just on the screen! Developed to grow the new reader, "I'm Going to Read[trademark]" offers children entertaining stories and spectacular artwork, plus an innovative method for reinforcing vocabulary at levels 1 and 2. It also includes an easy to read word bank that highlights new words as they are introduced. The Word Bank is a unique tool designed to give the reader: a clearly defined goes for success of word recognition, a comprehensive method for "banking" learned words and reinforcement through repetition. The books are a strong complement to whatever reading programme your child is using at school - whether it be phonics, literature based or a combination of the two.
