Jamie Tate, a boy living on a farm in Essex, joins the growing band of children who are sent back in time to witness history. Jamie hates history, but when he finds himself in Roman Colchester in AD60, he joins the petrified citizens in the temple of Caludius as the Icenii, bent on revenge, attack.
