This is a volume of three read-aloud stories in a traditional folk-tale style. The stories are about a busy little old woman who cleaned cobwebs from the sky ("Under the Moon"); a little boy who was tricked by a wily mother wolf ("The Apple Child"); and a sweet apple child and a sour elder bogle ("Little Ivan"). Vivian French has also written "Caterpillar Caterpillar", "Zenobia and Mouse", "Tillie McGillie's Fantastical Chair", "Jackson's Juniors", "Tottie Pig's Noisy Christmas", "It's a Go to the Park Day", "One Ballerina Two", "Why the Sea is Salt", "Princess Primrose" and "Lazy Jack".
