This E Big Book is designed for whole-class use on an interactive whiteboard and enable children to revise and apply phonics in the familiar and supportive setting of storytime. Children watch a TV clip of a story being read. The teacher then reads the story again with the class, stopping at the words that children can decode, allowing children to see sounds in the context and to revise those sounds they have already covered.
E Big Book 3 covers grapheme-phoneme correspondence for final 12 sounds (vowel digraphs) and continues working with four and five phoneme words and tricky words. It also provides alternative graphemes for phonemes. The E Big Book also comes with fully decodable stories that link to the "real" books and can be read by children themselves and includes a range of activities and resources, and a teacher's book offering guidance, activities and advice.
