Children will be able to use their own binoculars, and then scribble down notes in their handy notebook. The spotter's guide is packed with useful information about how to get started, as well as a comprehensive field guide section full of expert tips on how to identify a species when they're out and about. A lifelong bird watcher, Mike Langman's ambition to become a bird illustrator was established after winning a national RSPB competition at the age of 15. To date his illustrations have appeared in 53 books and his work can be found on virtually every RSPB reserve in the UK. He rarely goes anywhere without his trusty notebook and a pair of binoculars - 'you just never know what you might bump into - and want to watch or sketch'. Birdwatching is a fantastic hobby that can be developed to all sorts of levels and wherever you are in the UK or world! Tracey Turner is a former editor and author of many non-fiction Sarah Horne trained as an Illustrator at Falmouth College of Arts. She has worked in Illustration for Editorial, Advertising and Children's Books for the past three years.
