Lancelot was the son of King Ban of Benwick and Queen Elaine. As a child he was left by the shore of the lake, where Vivien, the Lady of the Lake, found him and raised him. Lancelot became the First Knight of the Round Table. Legend suggests he had a very close relationship with Queen Guinevere.
