?Tom Ryan was born and raised in Inverness, Cape Breton. He studied English at Mount Allison University and then moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he studied film production. He currently lives in Halifax with his husband and their dog, Wheeler. His work can be found in museums across the country, as well as in dozens of book titles. He also illustrated the popular outdoor-themed book A is for Adventure. This is his second children's book.
