Textual analysis can be challenging for pupils, particularly when the subject matter is a poem. However, it is a skill required in Intermediate 2 and Higher levels in Scotland, as well as examinations throughout England and Wales. This book serves as a guide through the stages of analysis, providing pupils with the confidence and ability to express their opinions on different kinds of poetry. Each poem examined in this book is provided with annotations and accompanied with questions set in the style of the Intermediate and Higher papers.
