Nick Warburton was a primary school teacher for ten years before deciding to become a full-time writer. Margi McAllister has written a number of children's novels including The Mistmantle Chronicles and The Life Shop Malachy Doyle lives in Wales where he works full time as a writer. He has written many other books for children, including our own OWEN AND THE MOUNTAIN and this is his first book for young adults. Susan Gates has written books for a very wide age range and is perhaps best-known for her Carnegie shortlisted title, RAIDER. Susan lives in County Durham.
