Compiled to provide teachers of science in Key Stage 1 with a variety of essential resources, this title includes a poster showing a child's view of a toy superstore, surrounded by materials vocabulary, and in black and white, drawings of items made from natural and manufactured materials. The lesson plans focus on and develop from the poster content, and are divided according to KS1 PoS, but taking the Northern Ireland and Scottish guidelines into account. There are supporting photocopiable sheets and lesson plans that are structured to support direct teaching of the whole class followed by differentiated group/indiviudal work.
