Project X Interactive Stories Year 1/P2 CD-ROM contains six fantastic character stories from the Project X series, spanning blue, green and orange book bands. Easy to navigate, the CD-ROM is extremely user-friendly and is suitable for: whole class work, guided/group reading, independent reading, and follow-up work. Each story is split into three sections: Talk, Read, and Explore. Talk - with hot seat animations, video clips, images and audio. Read - using fabulous turn-the-page technology and accompanying audio (read by Rob Brydon). Explore -zoom in on, highlight, circle, underline, or annotate the text; add speech or thought bubbles and change whole sections of text. A write section with a bank of downloadable assets, including clip-art images, supports writing activities while frames, and activity sheets help to support pupils' writing skills and help raise literacy standards.

It includes fiction and non-fiction, exciting adventure stories, lots of gadgets, and 21st-century illustrations.Project X Origins reading resources are designed to develop children's comprehension skills, so that they are on a par with their word recognition skills. The scheme is carefully levelled and linked to the book band scheme, and includes both fiction and non fiction titles. The large number of books helps children progress from decoding to richer reading and comprehension.
