Britain's mammals include foxes, badgers, dolphins, shrews, stoats and, of course, humans. This book tells you about the most common of the 64 land mammals and 20 marine mammals. Each mammal is illustrated with colour photographs and a map showing where it lives. You can also find out the mammal's size, its favourite habitats, what it likes to eat, what its babies are like, how to identify its tracks and how it makes its home. The final section tells you how to become a mammal detective, identifying tracks, food remains and other clues and you can also find out how to build a hedgehog shelter or a bat box for your school or garden.
