Great for age 3-11 years
A companion title for "Earth is likea roundabout"geared towards 6-8 year olds explores the vocabulary sequence and classification of time, a key curriculum topic for KS 1 and 2. It takes a step-by-step approach to units of time. The text and pictures compare the familiar activities of a child for example putting on a pair of running shoes, to that of an animal , such as a cheetah running around a track. Each double -page spread features a clock or calendar with simple instructions on how to read them. This book is one of a series that takes National Curriculum information topics and explains them in a simple, appealing way. It combines a read-out-aloud quality with a great way of encouraging young children to look and think beyond what they actually visualise.
