A fun-filled collection of specially-written stories and poems, and well known songs, aimed at toddlers and all based around the theme of daytime and playtime activities. Well-respected writers have contributed stories to the collection: Vivian French tells the story of Harry who desperately wants to keep the present he is taking to a birthday party; and from Alan Durant there is an appealing tale of the youngest child in the family who longs to join in the other games. There are lots of lively poems by such talents as Tony Bradman and Trish Cooke which are ideal for introducing toddlers to the rhythm of verse.
