Non-fiction novelty fun for the very young. Through the use of flaps and a simple question and answer format, the Flip-Flap Facts series teaches young children first facts about people and animals. "Whose silver train is this?" the text asks. Flip-the-flap and there is the answer ("Mine!" said the train driver), plus some basic information ("My underground train travels through tunnels beneath the busy city."). In this way, young children can learn a little about builders, pigeons, gardeners, cats, bus drivers and shop assistants in In the City, and rabbits, coal miners, worms, moles and ants in Under the Ground.
