This book looks at the features of a river . It looks at the different types of home that you can find along rivers, the jobs people do on rivers, signs of the past you can find there and modes of transport used. A map at the end of the book encourages map skills. Questions throughout ask the reader to find out more about what makes a river location unique and encourages comparison between the place where they live and other types of location. Specially commissioned photographs show a wide range of locations from across the UK.
