Originally told to Kipling's own children - particularly his daughter Josephine, this collection of stories represent Kipling's art at its finest point. Generations of readers remember 'the great grey-green, greasy Limpopu' and 'the Cat that walks by himself and all places are alike to him'. This new edition of Best-Loved Children's Stories, with an introduction by Neil Philip, adds two extra stories to the original twelve - The Tabu Tale and Ham and the Porcupine.

There are 224 pages in this book. This is a short story book. This book was published 2009 by Little, Brown & Company .

Isabelle Brent is one of the most highly-regarded illustrators working today. Rudyard Kipling died in 1936 and is buried in Westminster Abbey.
