Each assembly is designed to last for about 15 minutes and focuses on an extract to be read aloud, followed by a section of Reflections which help to provide a context for the reading through the use of questions and other ideas related to the central theme. The extracts have been drawn from a wide range of sources: newspaper articles, poems, biographies, fiction, songs and reports. All the extracts are powerful and thought provoking and cover real issues that are relevant to the concerns of students in today's schools. This is an invaluable resource for anyone involved in delivering assemblies in school today.
