A delightful picture book about a school infant class from the author/artist team who created Joe's Cafe and A Letter to Father Christmas. Here are six stories, each focusing on a different child in Mrs Candy's infant class. Victoria's science experiment goes wrong, Marlon boasts too much, Natalie has a new baby sister, Sam's always rushing into things, Ranjit can't help getting lost, David is obsessed with a TV character: these are real characters and situations real children can identify with. Light and jokey in tone, the stories are told in language close to children's own. Lots of small brightly coloured pictures on every page integrate with the text to give an inviting school notebook look.

There are 32 pages in this book. This is a picture book. A picture book uses pictures and text to tell the story. The number of words varies from zero ('wordless') to around 1k over 32 pages.
