Tony Bonning was born into a farming family in the Galloway hills of South-West Scotland. Since then he has written a number of best-selling books for children including Another Fine Mess (featured on Tweenies and on the SATS recommended reading list) and The Great Goat Chase. He writes also for adults and has done a number of books on Scotland including Galloway and Arran. Tony is also rated as one of Scotland's top storytellers and is well known across the country for his Aiken Drum concerts, which include a mix of story, song and rhyme. He also founded the Play It By Ear music groups in Galloway and is founder and director of the Galloway Children's Festival. Tony lives in Kirkcudbright and is married with seven children.
