Elle J. McGuinness is a children's book author and lives in northern California. Simon Awa was born and raised at a traditional outpost camp near Igloolik. Over the past thirty years he has held positions as Senior Administrative Officer for the Hamlet of Pond Inlet, President of the Baffin Region Inuit Association, Announcer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Manager of Operations for CBC, and various governmental roles beginning in 1993 when Simon was appointed Executive Director for the Nunavut Implementation Commission. Anna Ziegler lives in Iqaluit, where she works at Nunavut Arctic College as an instructor and regional program coordinator. She is the co-author, with Rebecca Hainnu, of A Walk on the Tundra, and author of of Tukisigiaruti Qaujisaqtulirinirmut: A Life Sciences Handbook for Nunavut Educators. Romi Caron is a professional illustrator with over eighteen years of experience illustrating children books. She has illustrated more than forty books for children, including two written by Marilyn Baillie, Small Wonders and Amazing Things Animals Do. Her books have been nominated for numerous awards, including Canadian Children's Book Centre Our Choice, the Saskatchewan Young Reader's Choice Awards, and the Outstanding Children's Book Award from the Animal Behaviour Society of Canada.
