A collection of short stories featuring a wayward heroine called Grisel. Grisel attempts to bargain with the Tooth Fairy, hijacks her school nativity play with unauthorized dialogue, and wrecks her sister's chances of appearing on TV as a Junior Master Chef.

Born in London in 1936, Roger Collinson studied at Durham University. He has taught English in secondary schools in London, Surrey and Southend and later moved to junior school teaching. He now lives in Appleby, Cumbria where he is a curate.
