The Atlas of Oceans is a beautifully illustrated guide to the oceans of the world. The introductory spreads look at the size of our oceans, our fears and fascination with them and why they are so important to us. The first chapter examines the formation of the oceans, and how they work. Thereafter individual chapters feature the Great Oceans, each containing details of the underwater wildlife, peoples, coastlines, minerals and weather. The book answers such questions as why is I so important that we harvest the oceans resources and how vital is it that we do not pollute them for good.
