This is a beautifully illustrated series that fits in with the UK Key Stage learning scale. It comes with a wordbank that helps children learn new words through reinforcement and repetition. This title has a wonderful short story that is perfectly placed for children aged 4-6 years, yet increases their learning at the same time. City street, city feet, city stoop, be-bop boop! There's music everywhere in the city - drumming, strumming, tapping and rapping. Children will dance to the sounds of this jazzy, rhythmic text, brought to vivid life with colourful, energetic pictures. This series has been developed to grow the new reader. "I'm Going to Read[trademark]" offers children entertaining stories and spectacular artwork, plus an innovative method for reinforcing vocabulary at levels 1 and 2: an easy to read word bank that highlights new words as they are introduced. The books are a strong complement to whatever reading programme your child is using at school - whether it is phonics, literature based or a combination of the two.
