This text traces the development of domestic life through five periods of history: Greeks and Romans; Vikings and Invaders; Tudors and Stuarts; Victorians; 1930 onwards; and World War II. As with other Learn Togethers there is a mixture of on and off the page activity, with three spreads devoted to each period of time. The first spread in each period carries a timeline showing where historical events fall in context with others. The six books in the series are the supplementary study units of Key Stage 2 History. Activities included in the book are colouring in Greek toys, rolling a Roman toga, making Viking jewellery, seeing the development of fashion and art through the ages, discovering the great inventions of the Victorian era, and finally, seeing the way that domestic life has evolved in the 20th century.
