ASTERIX CONQUERS AMERICA
Getafix has been captured by Romans and catapulted off the edge of the world and so Asterix and Obelix follow in hot pursuit to find their wizard. When they reach what they think to be the edge of the world, our heroes finding themselves in America. Danger lurks on these foreign shores, however, and Asterix and Getafix are both captured by Indians and held prisoner. All is not lost, though, as Obelix saves the chief's daughter's life and our Gaulish heroes manage to befriend the Indians. All except one, who is determined to steal the secret of the magic potion from Getafix. Will Asterix and Obelix save the day?

Rene Goscinny was born in Paris in 1926, and spent most of his childhood in Argentina, before eventually moving to Paris in 1951. He died in 1977. Rene Goscinny and Albert Uderzo created Asterix in 1959. His adventures were first published in English in 1969. Goscinny died in 1977, and Uderzo now writes and illustrates the Asterix adventures.
