The Bible is full of people who believed in God. Some of them found out about God for themselves. Some had Jesus to show them the way. This book contains thirty Bible readings and activities on the theme of believing in God, with stories and teaching drawn from both the Old and New Testament. It is one of four titles in a range of Bible reading books designed for 5-7s. The theme is explored by looking at the faith of biblical characters, God's promises to us, Jesus' promises in the Gospels and his miracles of faith. Each of five distinct topics is covered in six double page spreads, comprising the Bible passage and a choice of related activities. The activities are based on things to do alone in the book, things to find or see related to the Bible passage, things to do with the whole family or with a group of friends and imagination or meditation idea. Each unit is followed by a prayer jotter, giving a prayer idea and a journal for the child to record their own journey of discovery.
