Struan Reid, consulting editor, is an archaeologist and historian who has written a number of educational and reference books for children. His main area of expertise is writing history books aimed at a younger audience. Straun Reid is a graduate in archaeology, and worked for five years on historical sites in the Middle East. He returns to give lectures on the castles of the saracens and the crusaders.
