This vocabulary book is an invaluable guide for pupils preparing for Common Entrance and other entrance exams at 13+ and lists all the Latin words required at this level (from Autumn 2014 onward, there are three additional pieces of vocabulary required for Level 2 and 3 exams, which can be downloaded from www.galorepark.co.uk). Words are arranged first alphabetically, first from Latin to English and then from English to Latin. It is aimed at Young Adult readers. Bob Bass taught at prep schools in Somerset, Kenya and Sussex before moving in 1987 to Orwell Park, Ipswich, where he is Head of Classics and Senior Master. He has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Classics Teaching and on the Council of the Joint Association of Classical Teachers. For twelve years he edited the SATIPS Classics Broadsheet, and was for twenty years IAPS' Subject Leader and then Subject Adviser in Classics. He is the Chief Setter of ISEB's Common Entrance and Common Academic Scholarship Latin papers, proof-reader for their Greek papers, and an IGCSE examiner. The author of various Latin and Greek resources targeted at young learners, he was awarded an MBE in 2016.
