Andrea Smith is a journalist specialising in social and environmental issues. Amongst other publications, she has written for the Guardian and Sunday Telegraph and Green Futures. She lives in Portsmouth. She is also author of In the News: Food Safety and Farming. E. Coombe has travelled the world, exploring the myths of different countries. She is the author of many successful children s books and games, which she has licensed and sold through Mattel, Pancake Press, Funtastic and Landsdowne, and in 2000 was awarded a Distinguished Alumni Award by Canberra University for her contribution to children s literature and games. She is the author of the FARAWAY FAIRIES series (as Eleanor Coombe) and the DRAGON BLOOD PIRATES series (as Dan Jerris).
