This is me. I like myself. I do things my own way...I am fantastic! Philip Waechter's bear is an everyman. He's confident and sometimes a little smug, he's happy, loving and has lots of friends, but occasionally he's a tiny bit stingy. Sometimes he feels on top of the world, but other times, he feels rather small and lonely. But at times like these he knows just what to do ...he runs into the arms of the one he loves!

He still lives in Frankfurt and works as a freelance graphic artist and is a founder member of the illustrators' group, Labor. He has illustrated numerous picture books in Germany. This is Philip's first book for Hutchinson.
