A novelty book for very young children - with a colourful surprise at the end! Meet Flip the penguin and spend a colourful day with him from morning till night. Turn the die-cut pages and see him deciding what to wear, playing football, having a walk in his wellies, drawing a picture, having a bath and going to bed. Like Petr Horacek's previous Walker Surprise titles, Strawberries are Red and What Is Black and White?, each page has more cut off it than the one before, so that the layered images finally form a bright, rainbow-coloured patchwork quilt, under which a tired Flip is going to sleep, and on the opposite page, a tab can be pulled to reveal stars glowing in the night sky outside Flip's window. Interactive and great fun, this book is part of Walker's range of concept board books that combine graphic pictures with ingeniously simple novelty devices.
