The Brothers Grimm, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, were German professors whose collections of folk tales and fairy tales have been loved for generations. Award-winning author Peter Carter studied English language and literature at Wadham College, Oxford. Brenda Williams, a former elementary school English teacher, is now a highly regarded children's poet. Her other books for Barefoot Books include The Real Princess, Outdoor Opposites and Lin Yi's Lantern. Rosamund Fowler trained in design and illustration at Harriet Watt University and at the Edinburgh College of Art. She has created original illustrations for corporate design, advertising and packaging, and has been shortlisted for the Glenfiddich Awards for Illustration multiple times. She lives in West Sussex, England.
