Her books for Frances Lincoln include Hippety Hop, Hippety Hay, Acker Backa Boo! and Leo le Chat Comes to Play! Adriano Gon trained as a graphic designer. Since 1989, he has illustrated many picture books and texts by authors such as Philippa Pearce, Dick King Smith and Penelope Lively. This is his first book for Frances Lincoln. Penelope Lively was born in Cairo Egypt. She came to England when she was 12 years old. She went to school in Sussex and studied at Oxford. She has written many award winning adult and children's books and now lives in London. She has four grandchildren.
