This series aims to present the lives of famous people in history. This book tells the story of Elizabeth I, her life and growing up in court. King Henry VIII, Queen Mary, the Spanish Armada and King James VI are all included. Elizabeth I was queen for 45 years. She was clever and enjoyed fine clothes and the good life. Elizabeth was strong too, and during her reign England became a powerful country. It was an exciting time. Shakespeare wrote great plays and sailors such as Sir Walter Raleigh explored new lands. In this book you can read about Elizabeth and the times in which she lived.
