This book combines the excitement of a daily newspaper with the drama of world military history from 1854 - the date of the introduction of photography to the battlefield - to the present day. The book comprises newspaper-style articles, arranged in year order, interspersed with features on particular innovations or events that deserve more in-depth treatment. Covering all of the major wars and many minor ones, this book will appeal to both the military enthusiast, intrigued by a novel approach to the history of modern warfare, and to the casual reader looking for a comprehensive yet dramatic description of the events of military history since the beginning of the photographic age.

There are 400 pages in this book. This book was published 2007 by Welbeck Publishing Group .
