There are lots of animals in the city and this book introduces readers to some of them. You'll find pigeons, seagulls, sparrows, starlings, crows and a chicken in a plum tree. Visit the Cat Sanctuary and the grooming parlour and meet cats and dogs of all breeds and varieties. See Meggy, the "wedding-car cat", Poppy, the poodle, a pig called Gloria, Lady and Storm, the parade horses - plus a dachshund on a bicycle, a goose on a skateboard, a ferret on a bus, ravenous rats, hungry foxes and lots more. This is a true-life picture book: Patricia Casey visited many places in the city researching this book and the result is a record of some of the animals and situations that she met and observed.
