Oliver Postgate, along with his colleague Peter Firmin, created many hours of children's television throughout the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Pat Thomson is a well-known author of titles for children beginning to read, particularly for her Share-A-Story titles for Puffin. She is also a part time librarian at a College of Further Education.
