Born to a coal-mining family in 1945, Robin Lawrie emigrated to Canada in 1953 and lived in Vancouver till 1968. Returning then to Britain, his freelance career as an illustrator and occasional author has continued until the present day. Pat Alexander is co-founder and former editorial director of Lion Publishing. She is also the compiler and author of many books ranging from the best-selling Lion Handbook to the Bible to The Lion First Bible. Pat lives in Oxford where she is actively involved in local church and community life.
