Bau knows as many dances as there are seeds in a calabash rattle, but she does not know the magic rainbull dance - only the rainmaiden knows that. Then drought seizes the land, a drought so terrible that Bau's grandmother sends her to the Tsodilo Hills in search of the rainmaiden, and Bau must dance to bring rain the the Kalahari people.
